Livingston Parish sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man believed involved in two armed robberies Friday in Denham Springs.

Deputies were called to the 25000 block of Rosedown Drive, where a man armed with a handgun approached at least two men standing in a yard and demanded they empty their pockets, a news release from the Sheriff’s Office says. They handed cash to the assailant, who then fled the scene.

While deputies were investigating the Rosedown Drive incident, a second armed robbery was reported on Vincent Road, the release says. In that incident, an armed man demanded cigarettes and cash from a man and woman, then ran away.

“It’s important to note that witnesses at both scenes described the same suspect and the clothing he was wearing — black pants, a black shirt, a black hat and black boots,” Sheriff Jason Ard said in the release.

Surveillance video also captured the man believed to be the robber, the release says.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (225) 686-2241 ext. 1 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
