Ascension Parish Sheriff’s deputies are looking for two people accused of robbing a man and then leaving him in the trunk of a vehicle.
Shane Redman, 47, of Baton Rouge, and David Gonday, 33, of Gonzales, are wanted on counts of attempted first-degree murder, second-degree robbery and simple kidnapping, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
St. James Parish Sheriff’s deputies found the abandoned vehicle along La. 70 in Convent on June 11 and discovered the man in the trunk.
A joint investigation between the two sheriff’s offices found that the victim was confronted by Redman and Gonday on Panama Road in Sorrento. The two suspects allegedly took several electronics and clothing items from his vehicle, then placed him in the trunk and drove to La. 70 in Convent, where they abandoned the vehicle, APSO said.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Redman or Gonday are asked to contact APSO at 225-621-4636 or by texting 847411, or call Crimestoppers at 225-344-7867.
