Baton Rouge police are asking for help identifying a man and woman who on Monday morning allegedly stole cash from a Chevron gas station on Florida Boulevard.

The pair walked into the Chevron, at 7510 Florida Blvd., around 10:20 a.m. as a clerk was counting money for her cash drop, said Sgt. Don Coppola Jr., a spokesman for Baton Rouge Police.

The woman distracted the clerk while the man snatched the money from her hand, Coppola said.

The pair then sped off in a white Toyota Prius, Coppola said.

The woman is described as a white female around 5 foot 3 inches tall with a red tattoo on her right forearm. The man is about 6 feet tall with tattoos across his chest and on the back of his left hand, Coppola said.

Detectives asked anyone with information about the robbery to contact the Baton Rouge Police Department’s Armed Robbery Division at (225) 389-3845 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
