Louisiana State Police on Friday arrested a 22-year-old man accused of causing multiple crashes while intoxicated and seriously injuring his passenger.
Shane Roddy was headed north on U.S. 61 near La. 427 when he crashed into the back of another vehicle, according to an arrest report. Roddy drove away and later veered off the highway, crashing into a mobile construction trailer, the report says.
Both Roddy and his passenger were treated Friday evening at an area hospital for serious injuries, police said.
Roddy, 16970 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, was booked into Parish Prison on counts of first-offense DWI, reckless operation, simple battery and negligent vehicular injuring.
