Baton Rouge Police arrested a 56-year-old woman accused of barging into another woman’s Duke Street home and stabbing her Sunday afternoon.
Officers arrested Theresa Ross, of 2324 N. Acadian Thruway, on counts of attempted second-degree murder and home invasion after slashing the 51-year-old victim in the arm and chest during a confrontation at a home in the 2700 block of Duke Street around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, a Baton Rouge Police report says.
Sgt. Don Coppola Jr., a police spokesman, said the victim’s injuries don’t appear to be life-threatening. Ross stormed into the victim’s home Sunday afternoon, walked into the victim’s bedroom and yelled, “... you was messing with my man,” the report says, before stabbing the woman several times.
When police arrived at the home, Ross had already fled, the report says. She was arrested later Sunday afternoon at her home and denied the allegations against her.
Ross was booked into Parish Prison Sunday night. Bail had not yet been set.
