A Baker man arrested Thursday is accused of threatening to blow up the East Baton Rouge Parish school bus mechanic shop, according to an East Baton Rouge Sheriff' Office report.

Deputies said Jose Manwell Sampson made the threat in a Facebook comment on Nov. 29 after his distant cousin, a school bus driver for the parish, posted on the social media site about brake problems on her school bus.

"Now if this bus mechanics don't fix this bus and something happens, God forbid, but there is gonna be some angry parents suiting the EBR school and they gonna have to find a new mechanic shop cause I'm gonna blow that b***h up behind my family," Sampson wrote, according to the sheriff's office report.

The bus driver told investigators that although Sampson is a distant cousin, she didn't know him personally and couldn't tell if he was serious in the threat, according to the report. Deputies were initially unable to locate Sampson, according to the arrest warrant dated Dec. 5.

Sampson, of 3204 Singletary Drive, Apt. 123, Baker, was booked Thursday in Parish Prison on a count of terrorizing.
