A New Roads man accused of repeatedly raping a woman over the last 15 years was arrested Thursday after law enforcement officers responded to the latest alleged incident at the victim’s home in East Baton Rouge Parish, a Sheriff’s Office report says.
Troy Anthony Batiste, 48, attempted to have sex with the victim Thursday morning at an address in East Baton Rouge Parish, according to an affidavit of probable cause. The victim resisted, kicking and yelling, before Batiste complied, the report says.
Batiste told deputies he had gone into the victim’s room that morning and tried to have sex with her.
The victim told the Sheriff that Batiste, whose address was listed in arrest reports as 9093 Delta Place Road in New Roads, had forced her to have sex with him every other week for the last 15 years.
Batiste also said he had not had consensual sex with her since 2003, and had forced her to have sex with him every two to three months since that point.
Batiste was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on counts of forcible rape “while at several addresses in East Baton Rouge Parish and the State of Louisiana.”
