Two men were shot and wounded Saturday night while pulling out of a shopping center parking lot on Perkins Road at around 11:20 p.m., according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The two victims, who were not immediately identified, each suffered one gunshot wound to the arm and are expected to recover, said Casey Rayborn Hicks, a spokeswoman for the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Both men told detectives they were exiting the parking lot when another vehicle pulled in front of them and someone inside opened fire, Hicks said.

The shooting remains under investigation.
