A 36-year-old Baton Rouge man who had been shot several times was found lying dead in the driveway of his home near Scotlandville Magnet High School early Saturday, police said.
Tyrone Clay was found around 6:30 a.m. in the driveway of his home at 1583 King St. and was pronounced dead at the scene,, Baton Rouge Police spokesman L’Jean McKneely said in a news release.
Clay has a criminal record, with an arrest in November 2013 for attempted first-degree murder after firing gunshots at a vehicle that drove past his King Street residence, according to police reports
When police arrested him in 2013, he was in possession of several prescription drugs, $1,600 in cash and other drug paraphernalia, records show.
