Casino worker accused of exposing himself to co-worker in bathroom, arrested on obscenity count _lowres

Mondo Cartwright

Police arrested a Belle of Baton Rouge Casino employee after he exposed himself to a female worker on Feb. 1 while she was trying to clean a casino bathroom.

The victim told Baton Rouge police she was cleaning the employee restroom between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. when she encountered 51-year-old Mondo Cartwright, the police report says.

The victim said she routinely knocks on the door, opens the door and says “housekeeping” loudly to find out if anyone is inside a bathroom before she enters. When no one responded that morning, she went inside the bathroom and began cleaning.

The victim was cleaning when she heard someone call her name and turned to find Cartwright exposing himself with his back toward the urinal, the report says. Offended and scared, she ran out of the bathroom. Cartwright continued to yell her name.

In a written statement, Cartwright said he went into the bathroom and saw the victim cleaning, but claimed he turned around while at the urinal and called the woman’s name to make sure she was gone before he used the restroom.

The Belle of Baton Rouge Human Resources director told investigators that Cartwright had recently returned to work after he was suspended for sexual harassment toward a patron on the boat, the report notes.

Cartwright, 25270 Patreau Lane, was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish on one count of obscenity.
