The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested three women on misdemeanor prostitution counts after they arranged meetings at a hotel with an undercover deputy Wednesday who had spotted the women’s ads online.

The deputy found ads posted by the women on, a classified ad website, and met with the women separately between 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday in a hotel room, according to Sheriff’s Office reports.

At the hotel, the deputy negotiated prices for sex with each of the women and handed them cash sums ranging from $200 to $300, the reports say.

Once the women accepted the money, the deputy signaled waiting members of the Sheriff’s Office’s Special Community Anti-Crime Team, who burst into the room and escorted them to a “takedown room” elsewhere in the hotel where they were arrested, according to the reports.

Those booked on one count of prostitution each are:

Marcrecia Spurlock, 27, of 2424 Madison Ave.

Danielle Zadler, 38, of 5130 Fryers Ave., Greenwell Springs.

Alexis Sanchez, 22, of 841 Mansfield St., Houston, Texas.

The reports say the sting operations were part of a multi-agency internet prostitution task force but do not indicate that officers from any other agencies were involved in the arrests.
