Baton Rouge police on Sunday identified the two men slain in a drive-by shooting on Brice Street Saturday that left two other men injured.
Brandon Wallace, 31, of 3243 Tecumseh St., and Terrell Heard, 28, died at the scene after shots were fired from a passing vehicle at about 7:40 p.m. in the 300 block of Brice Street, said Baton Rouge police spokesman Cpl. Don Coppola.
Heard’s address was not provided.
An unidentified 22-year-old man and 16-year-old male were also struck by the gunshots and were taken to a hospital Saturday night with non-life-threatening injuries, he said.
Coppola said Sunday there are no known suspects or motives at this time.
An entire block of Brice Street and Louisiana Avenue were taped off by police Saturday night after the shooting, while about 100 people crowded into the street.
For at least an hour after the shooting, a body could be seen on the front steps of a house in the 300 block of Brice Street, while another was lying in a front yard. East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office workers later removed the bodies.
Some in the crowd complained about the bodies not being covered, but East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore, after arriving at the scene, explained to one man that detectives needed to examine the evidence.
Anyone with information about the crime can call the Baton Rouge Police Department at (225) 389-4869 or Crimestoppers at (225) 344-7867.
