A man found lying in a street, wounded by at least one gunshot Monday was taken to a Baton Rouge hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, an official said.
About 12:20 p.m., a Baton Rouge Police officer on patrol discovered the man, who appears to be in his 30s, in the 1100 block of North 46th Street, said agency spokesman Lt. Jonathan Dunnam.
The man, who appears to have been shot in the leg, was transported by EMS to a hospital, Dunnam said. The victim has not yet been identified.
