Authorities arrested at least four people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish, including a man also accused in the kidnapping of his girlfriend and in firing a handgun at six people, and booked them into Parish Prison between noon Wednesday and noon Thursday, booking records show.

Those booked and the counts against them:

— Shawn Matthews, 44, 10115 Avenue D, Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, reckless operation, attempted first-degree murder, assault by drive-by shooting, felon in possession of firearm, aggravated kidnapping and battery domestic abuse.

— Powers Ortiz, 22, 13481 Wynnewood Ave., Denham Springs, first-offense DWI, reckless operation of vehicle, improper lane usage and driver’s license not on person.

— Eryc Lorino, 30, 8554 Cullens Ave., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, improper lane usage and reckless operation of vehicle.

— David Compton, 24, 810 Chartres Drive, Shreveport, first-offense DWI and speeding.
