Residents in the Baton Rouge area are unable to submit Crime Stopper tips through text messages, the website and Facebook on Wednesday afternoon during an outage, according to a post by the Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers Facebook page.

The organization posted around 3 p.m. that due to an outage with the tip input database, those three ways to send in information anonymously about criminal incidents are temporarily unavailable. The telephone tip line is still working at 225-344-7867, according to the post.

It did not say when the tip databases might be back up and running. More updates to come.
