BR man arrestedBaton Rouge police Monday arrested an 18-year-old man accused of shooting a 21-year-old man April 25 on Clayton Drive, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Keith Johnson, 18, 7375 Greenwell St., Baton Rouge, was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on one count each of attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.

The victim was walking home from a store carrying grocery bags when two men hiding in nearby bushes approached him, the affidavit says.

At least one man pulled out a gun and shot at the victim multiple times, the affidavit says.

The victim fell to the ground after being wounded, and the men ran away, the affidavit says.

One attacker was arrested soon after the shooting, the affidavit says.

The victim told police Johnson was the shooter, the affidavit says.
