A 57-year-old Baton Rouge man, accused in previous and separate child molestation cases, was arrested Friday after he was accused of molesting a girl from 1978 to 1982, according to an arrest warrant.
The victim was 3 years old when the man started molesting her and he reportedly continued to molest her until she was 7, according to the the warrant.
James Clayton 15433 Altus Ave., was booked Friday with molestation of a juvenile by deputies with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, according to the warrant.
According to the warrant, Clayton touched the victim sexually, made her sleep in his bed with him while he sexually molested her and took nude pictures of her in front of his friends.
Friday’s arrest is the not the first time Clayton has been booked on child molestation charges.
Clayton was accused of child molestation for the second time in three months after another victim came forward with allegations of abuse, according to another arrest warrant.
The victim in the previous case said Clayton abused her daily from 1985 to 1987, the warrant says.
The victim who said Clayton abused her from 1985 to 1987 said she had read Clayton was arrested May 23 for a separate child molestation allegation and decided to contact authorities, the warrant says.
