A 34-year-old man shot in the head Tuesday night in the 800 block of North 31st Street died on Thursday.

Baton Rouge police identified the victim in a news release as Corey Jermaine Boyd, 34, who had been in critical condition after he suffered a single gunshot to the head.

Boyd, who lived in the 800 block of North 31st Street, was found Tuesday lying in a driveway at 11:05 p.m., police spokesman Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said shortly after the shooting.

McKneely said in the news release Thursday that police have yet to identify a suspect or a possible motive.

Boyd’s death remains under investigation, McKneely said.
