A 63-year-old man was killed when he lost control of his Chevy pickup, likely while intoxicated, and slammed into a retaining wall on Interstate 110 early Saturday morning, according to Baton Rouge Police.
Ronald Gauff, of Zachary, was driving south through the Capitol Access curve when he crashed into the wall about 3:15 a.m., said Cpl. Don Coppola, a Baton Rouge Police spokesman.
Gauff died at the scene, Coppola said. Police believe intoxication played a role in the crash.
