Baton Rouge Police investigated a drive-by shooting Tuesday on North 16th Street that left one man wounded and two vehicles damaged by bullets.

The incident began when shots were fired from a vehicle driving in the 2100 block of North 16th Street at around 1 p.m., said Cpl. L’Jean McKneely, a Baton Rouge police spokesman.

One man was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to his torso, and two vehicles in nearby yards were struck by gunfire, McKneely said.

The injured man refused on Tuesday to cooperate with police, and further details of the shooting were not clear, McKneely said. No arrests have been made.
