A Baton Rouge man accused of firing shots into a woman’s vehicle in January was arrested Thursday after police stopped him for playing loud music in his car.

Baton Rouge police stopped Tevin Brown, 22, on Kentucky Street Thursday afternoon and later realized he was wanted in a Jan. 28 incident in which he allegedly followed and shot at a woman’s vehicle, a police report says.

The woman had told police Brown was driving a Chevrolet Impala, the same car he was driving Thursday. A loaded assault rifle and marijuana were sitting on Brown’s passenger seat when he was arrested, the report says.

Brown, 2033 Maryland St., was booked into Parish Prison on counts of criminal damage to property, illegal use of a weapon, aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance. He is being held on a $29,000 bond, according to online booking records.
