Two men were pistol-whipped and robbed of a large amount of money in an apartment in north Baton Rouge Tuesday night, according to a statement issued by Cpl. L’Jean McKneely Jr. of the Baton Rouge Police Department.

BRPD officers responded to a call at 2136 North Lobdell at approximately 10 p.m., the statement said, and upon arrival found two men who had been beaten.

The victims said three men entered the apartment brandishing pistols and an assault rifle, McKneely said in the statement. The victimis were beaten with pistols, and the assailants took an undisclosed amount of money from them and fled the scene in a silver-colored Mazda.
