An East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office unit was involved in a crash with another vehicle Tuesday morning on Gardere Lane, authorities said.
The driver of a Dodge Durango traveling northbound on Gardere Lane about 7:30 a.m. crossed over the center line at Leake Avenue and struck the front of the deputy’s vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The driver of the Durango then over-corrected and ran off the road, the release says. Both drivers were transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
Two witnesses confirmed the account of how the collision happened, the news release says, but the investigation is ongoing.
