State authorities arrested a 58-year-old Baton Rouge man Thursday after investigators discovered on his computer more than 100 videos and images of children under 13 years old engaging in sex, bondage and bestiality.

Undercover detectives with the state Attorney General’s Office had shared images and videos of child pornography as part of an undercover operation, which led to an investigation into Robert Bruce Hathaway, according to an Attorney General’s report.

Detectives obtained a search warrant Thursday and analyzed Hathaway’s computer and found more than 100 images and video files that showed children under 13 years old, including some infants, engaging in sexual acts, according to the report.

Hathaway told investigators he’d been actively searching for child pornography for more than a year and that detectives would find thousands of child pornography images on his computer, according to the report.

Hathaway, 1894 Erlanger Drive, was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on 100 counts of pornography involving juveniles.
