Firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that ripped through a home at 1941 69th St. Monday, according to a Baton Rouge Fire Department news release.

The call came in reporting the fire at 12:09 p.m., the release says.

When firefighters arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames, the release says.

The resident of the home escaped unharmed before firefighters arrived, the release says.

The fire was brought under control at 12:27 p.m., the release says.
