The death of a one-year-old boy is being investigated after he was found unresponsive Wednesday morning in north Baton Rouge, officials said.
Baton Rouge Police responded around 9 a.m. to 8770 Elm Grove Garden Drive to a call about the baby, who was taken to a hospital, said agency spokesman Cpl. Don Coppola.
An autopsy will be performed Thursday on the boy, said East Baton Rouge Parish coroner Dr. William “Beau” Clark.
Coppola said the investigation into the incident is ongoing. He said he did not have information on whether there will be any arrests in the case.
