The shooting occurred in the 3100 block of Alliquipa Street, about a block west of Plank Road and a few blocks north of Chippewa Street, according to the Police Department.
Police were dispatched to a nearby location on Ozark Street at about 2:15 a.m. where they found a man with two gunshot wounds, Cpl. L’Jean McKneely, a police spokesman, said.

The victim, who was not identified, told police he was in the area when he saw an armed man step out of a vehicle. When the victim took off running, the armed man shot him, McKneely said.
