A 48-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly molesting and raping two girls several times during a two-year period beginning when the victims were about 11 years old, according to an arrest warrant.
The victims told authorities in February that Jonathan Shaffer had touched them inappropriately and raped them at his home at 7104 Meadow Park Ave., the warrant says.
Authorities had been unable to locate Shaffer since the report was made, the warrant says.
Shaffer was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on one count each of molestation of a juvenile and aggravated rape.
