Authorities found the body of a North Park employee in a truck that was submerged in a pond on the grounds of the Denham Springs park Thursday morning.

The cause of death is unknown right now but the wife of park employee Jayson Beard, 36, 13925 Alvin Sibley Road, Walker, told deputies that her husband was on a seizure medication and he may have had a seizure before driving into the pond, Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Perry Rushing said.

A groundskeeper at the park found some tire tracks leading to the pond Thursday and called deputies at 8 a.m., Rushing said.

Rushing said it appears there are no signs of foul play.

The investigation is ongoing and an autopsy is slated for Friday morning.
