Lafayette police on Saturday were searching for a woman they say shot at two women late Friday on University Avenue, wounding one of them in the right arm.

The two victims were sitting in a car in a parking lot on 409 University Ave. about 10 p.m. Saturday when at least eight shots were fired at them, Lafayette Police Department Cpl. Mouton said.

One victim was shot in the right arm and transported to a local hospital, Mouton said. The other woman was not injured.

The suspected shooter, Imani Arceneaux, 20, of Lafayette is the ex-girlfriend of the injured victim, Mouton said. He said another women with Arceneaux, Isis Livings, 20, of Lafayette, had allegedly threatened the injured victim previously.

A warrant for two counts of attempted second degree murder was issued for Arceneaux and a warrant for two counts of principal to attempted second degree murder was issued for Livings’ arrest.

Anyone with information should call Lafayette Police or Crime Stopper at 232-TIPS.
