A Greenwell Springs man was arrested Tuesday and accused of molesting an 11-year-old girl, an arrest warrant said.

Roger Martin, 41, molested the girl several times last year at a Baton Rouge residence, the warrant said.

Authorities were contacted by Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center staff on Aug. 23 about the incidents, the warrant said.

A criminal investigation ensued and Martin, 10528 Magnolia Blossom Drive, Greenwell Springs, was arrested and booked into Parish Prison on one count of molestation of a juvenile.

Former park worker booked on sex counts

A former Blue Bayou water and amusement park employee was arrested Tuesday for allegedly forcing himself on a girl he supervised, an arrest warrant said.

The incident occurred July 2 while Omar Nepomuceno, 19, and the 16-year-old girl were working in the “Chicken Coup” at Blue Bayou, the warrant said.

The girl told another supervisor what happened, authorities were contacted and an investigation followed.

Nepomuceno, 115 S. Sammy Ave., Gonzales, was booked into Parish Prison on one count each of sexual battery and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

Authorities book 2 on suspicion of DWI

Authorities arrested at least two people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Monday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, booking records show.

Those booked and the counts against them:

• Marvin Peterson, 26, 2927 Rebecca, second-offense DWI and improper lane usage.

• Wade Miller, 32, 288 Kirkley Place East, second-offense DWI, drinking in a motor vehicle, speeding, motor vehicle insurance required, and reckless operation of a vehicle.
