The East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s office is looking for a man wanted in the murder of a man in the Gardere neighborhood Saturday morning.
Eric Kinchen, 32, was shot in the 1600 block of Port Drive around 10:00 a.m. He was taken to a hospital, where he died from gunshot wounds.
In a news release issued Sunday night, the sheriff’s office identified Marcus Dominique, 22, as the suspect, saying detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for him for second-degree murder and illegal use of a firearm.
The sheriff’s office in the release noted that both Dominique and Kinchen lived at 1770 Port Drive.
