Christopher Ridgley

Police on Tuesday arrested a Baton Rouge man accused of intentionally exposing another man to the HIV virus while in a recent relationship.

Christopher Ridgley, 23, allegedly knew he had HIV but chose not tell a man whom he engaged in a sexual relationship with for several months beginning in August 2014, according to a Baton Rouge police report.

Ridgley told a probation officer he was HIV positive in January 2014, the report says, indicating he was aware of his diagnosis prior to the beginning of his relationship with the victim.

Ridgley, of Baton Rouge, was booked into Parish Prison on a count of intentional exposure to AIDS virus.
