A fire that destroyed a vacant building in Baton Rouge Friday was determined to be due to arson, a fire official said.

Baton Rouge Fire Department spokesman Curt Monte said the unoccupied structure at 1495 Eddie Robinson Dr. was the site of two previous fires this month, on Jan. 5 and 7, both of which were intentionally set. The building is a total loss, he said.

Anyone with information about the blaze is asked to contact Baton Rouge Fire Investigators at(225) 354-1419.
