A woman arrested Tuesday is accused of choking her daughter, abuse that began out of town the weekend of June 21 and continued on Sunday, authorities said.
Deshona C. Mobley, 4511 W. Evans, Baker, punched, choked and beat her daughter with a belt and buckle, a Baker police report says. The Department of Child Protection Services confirmed this information, the document says. Mobley, 33, told police a fight did take place out of town the weekend of June 21 but she denied any later incident and she said she was not aware of any bruises on her daughter, the report says.
The report does not indicate the age of her daughter.
Mobley was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a count of domestic abuse battery.
