Authorities arrested at least 17 people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, booking records show.

Deon Gunter, 25, 4934 Byron St., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, driving with no license plate, driving with a suspended driver’s license.

Justin Hensel, 40, 1938 1/2 Tulip St., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, reckless operation of a vehicle, failure to use a turn signal, improper turn.

John Higdon, 32, 466 Highway 61, Jackson, first-offense DWI.

Gary Higgs, 59, 12755 Mustang Ave., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, reckless operation of a vehicle.
