Fire damaged a house on Clayton Street Wednesday morning after an apparent electrical malfunction.

No one was injured in the blaze at 3651 Clayton St.

Crews arrived at 9:55 a.m. and had the fire under control by 10:17 a.m., said Mark Miles, a Baton Rouge Fire Department spokesman.

The house was heavily damaged by fire and smoke, Miles said, with the damage estimated at $46,000.
