The woman resisted the attack by telling Edwards, "No," as well as kicking and screaming, the warrant says.

Burglary suspect, 29, held; items recovered

A Baton Rouge man accused of breaking into a house late Monday and threatening to shoot two sleeping residents while stealing various items from their home was arrested Tuesday and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, an affidavit of probable cause says.

Cosme Continii, 29, entered the Parkforest Drive home through a broken kitchen door window around 2:30 a.m. and entered the couple's bedroom while they were asleep, the affidavit says.

One of the victims told authorities the intruder told him not to move or he would shoot him, the affidavit says.

The victim also told authorities he did not call them because he was scared the man would come back to harm his family.

Sheriff's deputies, however, discovered the items stolen in the burglary a couple of hours later when they responded to a vehicle crash on Mickens Road near Joor Road, the affidavit says.

Continii admitted to stealing the items from a vehicle that was tracked to the victims, the affidavit says.

Continii, 29, 7652 Bles Ave., was booked on one count each of home invasion, burglary of an inhabited dwelling, theft and criminal damage to property.

Driver, 22, arrested <br/>in bicyclist's beating

Police on Wednesday arrested a 22-year-old man accused in the beating of a bicyclist and the destruction of his bicycle on Ingleside Drive almost eight months ago, a police spokesman said.

The confrontation between the bicyclist and Theodore Wisner began in the 700 block of Ingleside after Wisner clipped the bicyclist with one of the side mirrors on the GMC Envoy he was driving, Sgt. Don Kelly said.

The bicyclist, who had two rear lights and one front light on his bicycle, chased Wisner, who kept driving, Kelly said. The bicyclist caught up with Wisner, tapped the passenger side window of his Envoy and told Wisner that he'd been hit, Kelly said.

Wisner got out of the Envoy and punched the bicyclist, knocking him off his bicycle, Kelly said. Wisner then threw the victim's bicycle, which was worth $2,700, down the street and into a concrete pillar, he said.

Wisner punched the bicyclist one more time and slammed his bicycle into a tree before driving off with the victim's helmet, Kelly said.

Wisner, 6177 Moss Side Lane, was booked into Parish Prison on one count each of hit and run, simple criminal damage to property, simple battery and theft.
