A 28-year-old Baton Rouge man accused of repeatedly raping an 11-year-old girl during the span of a week was arrested Tuesday.
The girl’s mother called police after walking into her living room Monday and finding her daughter partially clothed while Carlos Jermaine Jarvis was looking inside the refrigerator, the Baton Rouge Police report says.
The victim told police that when her mother entered the room, Jarvis quickly moved away and opened the refrigerator door to act as if he were looking for something.
The victim also told police that Jarvis, 2717 Chippewa St., had showed her several pornographic movies over the span of a week, using a Playstation 3, cell phone and laptop computer. She also said he raped her five times in the living room during that week, the report says.
Police presented the girl with a photographic lineup of men with similar features, and she identified Jarvis as the accused.
Jarvis was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a count of first-degree rape, indecent behavior with a juvenile and sexual battery.
