Police say they arrested a 20-year-old man Wednesday accused of fatally shooting a man Feb. 14 at the intersection of North Acadian Thruway and South Choctaw.
Erick Scott, 2134 N. 17th St., was arrested without incident at his home around 4 p.m. Wednesday, Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said in a news release.
Scott will be booked into Parish Prison on one count each of first-degree murder, aggravated criminal damage to property and illegal possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, McKneely said.
Scott is accused of shooting and killing Kevin Johnson, 21, while Johnson was at the stop light at Choctaw and North Acadian around 5:45 p.m. Feb. 14, McKneely said.
