Fire investigators are searching for clues in a vacant building on North Foster Drive where firefighters extinguished a blaze in a back room Tuesday morning.

Mark Miles, spokesman for the Baton Rouge Fire Department, called the fire “suspicious in nature” and said investigators have not determined the cause.

Firefighters arrived at the building at 2045 N. Foster Drive, shortly before 10:20 a.m. and had the flames under control about 30 minutes later, Miles said.

No one was in the building at the time of the fire, Miles said.

Anyone with information may call fire investigators at (225) 354-1419.
