Baton Rouge man booked after video of sexual encounter posted on Instagram _lowres

A sex video posted early Tuesday morning to Instagram, a photo-sharing social media outlet, led deputies to arrest a Baton Rouge man later that day after his former girlfriend called the Sheriff’s Office.

The victim told East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies that a man she didn’t know tagged her early Tuesday morning in an Instagram video of her and her former boyfriend, 22-year-old Gerald Alexander, having sex, the report says.

According to the report, the victim dated Alexander from August to December 2015 and said that while they did have sex, she was unaware their encounters had ever been recorded and had not given Alexander permission to do so.

When deputies contacted Alexander, he told them recording the encounters had been the victim’s idea, adding that she set up a smart phone on the dresser to capture the scene, the report says.

Alexander, 7044 Pitcairn Drive, was booked into Parish Prison on a count of video voyeurism.
