Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who robbed a Cracker Barrel employee Tuesday night while wielding a screwdriver.

The man walked into the store at 2020 Millerville Road at about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday and told the clerk, “Give me everything you got in the register,” said Casey Rayborn Hicks, a Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.

When the clerk didn’t comply quickly enough for him, the man climbed onto the counter with the screwdriver until the clerk handed over the money, Hicks said.

The man fled with the cash.

He is a white male about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 50 to 60 years old, weighs about 200 pounds and has gray hair, she said. He was wearing a green jacket with a striped shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with details about the robbery may call the Sheriff’s Office at (225) 389-5000 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-STOP.
