The death of a 24-year-old man with developmental disabilities whose body was found Wednesday in Baker has been ruled a suicide, officials said.

Quentin Jones was reported missing by family members April 3, Baker Police Chief Mike Knaps said. City workers found the body about 10 a.m. Wednesday in a ditch near Morvant Road and Amerest Avenue.

Dr. William “Beau” Clark, the East Baton Rouge Parish coroner, ruled the cause of death a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
