A 19-year-old Baton Rouge man wanted in the December shooting death of Jarrett Lacey surrendered to authorities Tuesday.
Joshua Edward Dixon is accused of killing Lacey just after noon on Dec. 12, possibly the result of an ongoing dispute between the men, Baton Rouge police spokesman Cpl. L’Jean McKneely has said.
Lacey, 22, 1351 Village Park Drive, was found fatally shot in the yard of a residence in the 1400 block of Bellonia Drive, McKneely said.
Witnesses reported seeing a man, later identified as Dixon, running from the area shortly after several shots were heard, McKneely said.
Dixon, 1020 Arcadia Drive, was booked Tuesday into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on one count each of second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.
