Baton Rouge man accused in rape of teenage girl _lowres

Ronald R. Devold

Baton Rouge Police arrested a 46-year-old man in the rape of a teenage girl that occurred in late February.

The girl told police that she was sexually assaulted at about 9 p.m. while at a house after a casual conversation led to unwanted advances, a Baton Rouge police report says.

The victim told detectives that Ronald R. Devold told her to lie down on the bed and then climbed into bed with her, according to the report.

While she tried to push him away, Devold raped her, and then fell asleep on top of her, the report says.

When the victim woke Devold, she told him to leave, but instead Devold professed his love to her, pinned her to the bed and raped her again, according to the report.

When investigators interviewed Devold, he confirmed that he had raped the teen, the report says.

Devold, of Baton Rouge, was booked into Parish Prison on one count of forcible rape.
