Washington Parish sheriff’s deputies arrested a Baton Rouge man allegedly trying to sell party drugs at a Bogalusa bar early Wednesday morning.
Pokeyto Kendre Peters, 30, of South Harrells Ferry Road, was attempting to sell ecstasy inside the Pub Lounge in Bogalusa, prompting complaints to the authorities, said Chief Deputy Mike Haley of the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies approached Peters in the bar and confronted him about the allegations, Haley said. Peters admitted he had a few pills of ecstasy in the cargo pocket of his shorts.
A search of his car in the parking lot turned up a total of 39 multi-colored pills — all believed to be ecstasy — in a plastic bag, Haley said.
Deputies booked Peters into Washington Parish Jail on a count of possession with intent to distribute Schedule I drugs, Haley said.
Bail for Peters had not been set as of Wednesday morning.
