The case against a Baton Rouge man accused of carnal knowledge with a juvenile was dismissed in late January after the alleged victim refused to cooperate with officials.

Brian Lejander, then 28, was arrested in September 2011 after allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old girl on two occasions in an apartment. Prosecutors later claimed in court papers that the inappropriate activity took place over the course of a year, starting when the girl was 14.

According to court records, two years after first bringing the case to court, District Attorney Hillar Moore’s office on Jan. 27 asked state District Judge Mike Erwin to dismiss the charge, citing the continued unwillingness of the victim, who is now 17, to cooperate.
