Baton Rouge Police arrested a 27-year-old man accused of knocking his sister unconscious early Monday morning while armed with brass knuckles.

Clarence Battley showed up at his sister’s home at around 12:10 a.m. as she was feeding her dogs and began to yell at her about some family issues, according to the police report.

But the argument took a sudden turn when Battley started running towards his sister, who could see black brass knuckles on his hand, the report says.

Battley then reportedly punched her twice in the head, causing her to lose consciousness. When police arrived, she was bleeding heavily from the side of her head, the report says.

Battley, of 5150 Annette St., Baton Rouge, was booked into Parish Prison on a count of aggravated second-degree battery.
