Police: Man had sex with 14-year-old girl

Authorities on Friday arrested a Baker man accused of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.

Darius K. Banks, 19, twice snuck into the girl’s bedroom through a window, at least once while her parents were away, according to an arrest report. The girl’s mother contacted police on Dec. 2, police said. Banks told detectives he was aware of the girl’s age, authorities said.

Banks, 4511 Ashland Drive, was booked into Parish Prison on one count of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Three arrested on DWI counts in EBR

Authorities arrested at least three people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday, booking records show.

Those booked and the counts against them:

Alexander Gomez, 37, 11701 Rue Baton Drive, Baton Rouge, second-offense DWI, speeding and reckless operation of vehicle.

Meagan Johnson, 25, 13917 Heritage, Central, first-offense DWI and speeding.

Katherine McConnell, 22, 1824 Oak St., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI and improper lane usage.
